Principal, Broker
Ken Gold directs Skilken’s new development, leasing and brokerage where he capitalizes on his experience and passion for both retail and real estate. Ken grew up in a family of retail entrepreneurs, learning the fundamentals of the business. Combining his M.A. in Finance with his retail background, Ken joined the Skilken retail development team in 1979. His knowledge proved invaluable in creating and expanding relationships with some of the nation’s preeminent retailers, such as Target, Kroger, CVS, Bank One and Home Depot.
Ken is also the founding President of FarSite, an entrepreneurial company that offers sophisticated multi-level modeling solutions to national retailers. In addition, Ken and his partners at Skilken have created a national urban consulting company, M Retail Ventures that assist private companies and municipalities in redeveloping urban areas.
Ken shares his enthusiasm for retail and real estate with others as an adjunct professor and the new Director of The Real Estate Center at the Fisher College of Business. For over 26 years his graduate real estate course has provided MBA students with real life application of theories, through the practical use of current case studies.
Ken is a licensed real estate broker, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Columbus Urban League.
